1. browsershots.org<\/a><\/h2>\n

As mentioned on an early post, this site is really useful for viewing your site on many different web browsers across multiple operating systems. Although you can’t test the usability of your site you can make sure everything is lined up correctly and ensure nothing strange is going on.<\/p>\n

2. stock.xching<\/a><\/h2>\n

This site offers a load of free images to be used for commercial use. Although not a replacement for professional pictures, this site is great if you need to create a website on budget. Also when searching you are given examples from iStock (a paid service) which is helpful if you are looking for something special.

3. w3schools.com<\/a><\/h2>\n

This site has tons of infiltration on HTML, CSS, Java, PHP and more. It’s a great resource if you are just starting out or an experienced developer. A great feature on the site is the “Try it yourself” links, these take you to a section of the site where you can test the examples and play around with code and get instant results, a great tool for learning something new.

4. XML sitemaps<\/a><\/h2>\n

It’s important to have a site map for your website as this will improve your sites SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) and help you rank higher in search engines. Only our Business hosting package comes with free sitemap creator, but there’s nothing stopping you making your own. This site allows you put in your web address, hit a button and it spits out a nice XML sitemap ready to be uploaded to your hosting directory. If you are using a CMS such as WordPress there will be a XML sitemap plug-in available rather than having to manually use this tool.
